This is a logo I made for new Etsy store, where I plan on selling geeky 3d printed objects, props, and cosplay. For the logo, I wanted something playful befitting an Etsy store, but clever enough that it gave off a professional vibe. When brainstorming relevant imagery to include in the logo, I thought of glasses. Big black-framed glasses have always been associated with geeky/nerdy people in media, and is easily recognizable as a symbol to represent geekiness. Seeing as I wear thick, black-framed glasses, I took a picture of myself to use as reference. With a 3/4 headshot, the perspective on the far frame of my glasses made it look like a letter D, while the closer one retained it’s shape and was easily converted to a letter G. To top it off, the angle of the nose also made it look like a letter G, so I was able to incorporate all three initials into a single cohesive design. I’m very happy with how this design came out, and am enjoying the positive feedback I’m getting on it.
